Cohousing Workshops
The workshop provides an opportunity for individuals or groups to experience life in a cohousing community for a weekend, at the same time learning how to go about setting up a project. They are very popular, so book early to secure a place.
The cost of weekend is £150 including lunch, tea/coffee; evening meals. Accommodation at the Threshold Centre/local B&B is £25/35 per night. A non-returnable deposit of £20 is requested to book a place on a course and £20 deposit for B&B. Concessions may be available, so please apply.

Community Experience Weekends
This year we are introducing a new way learning about cohousing and life at the Threshold Centre.
We are inviting you to visit and experience life amongst us. The weekend will be an opportunity to meet residents, work with us, cook and eat with us and celebrate and play with us.
We will be here to answer your questions and you will be able to find out if cohousing would suit you and whether the Threshold Centre would be somewhere you might want to live.
The weekends cost £100 plus accommodation at the Threshold Centre/local B&B at £25/35 per night. A non-returnable deposit of £20 is requested to book a place on a course and £20 deposit for B&B. Concessions may be available, so please apply.
These are residential and run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.

Gardening/Work Weekends

We offer bed and board in exchange for your help and it’s not all work! Arrive in time for Friday supper (7 p.m.) if you can, otherwise early on the Saturday. We ask for a £20 donation toward the cost of the weekend.

7 Words – Led by James Burgess and Richard Grey
Deepening our understanding of these 7 essential life principles, we come to a much better sense of who we are and exactly what needs to be done to bring more clarity, effectiveness and joy into our own lives.
Cost £150 registration (payable at or before first attendance) + £50 per person per weekend tuition. Accommodation is extra. You can join at any stage. It is not necessary to attend all 7 weekends. The course repeats year on year and those who want to can complete 'missed' modules later.

Permaculture Course – Led by Linda Philp & Stephen Nutt
Permaculture is an innovative framework for creating sustainable ways of living, and where better to come and learn about it than in our cohousing community including eco-friendly housing, biomass heating, rainwater harvesting and large vegetable garden.

Permaculture Introductory weekend April 28/29 (Cost £150)
This introduction to Permaculture will provide you with a taste of all aspects of Permaculture Design (including Permaculture ethics and principles; gardening; agriculture; woodland; agroforestry; water; buildings and communities).
Full Permaculture Design Course
Six weekends (72 hours) leading to a certificate or just do single weekends of your choice (Total cost £480)
The full course will cover all of the above aspects in more detail and will also include a number of visits to local sites of interest and an opportunity to undertake a design project. Most weekends will involve some practical sessions.

The Art of Living in Peace – Led by Andrew Pring BA (hons) Peace Studies
