ChildrenThe Threshold Centre is in many ways an ideal rural setting to bring up children. The efforts to keep cars off site means there is a central green space of safety which is overlooked by the homes. The local schools are only a mile away and have an excellent reputation for quality and facilities. Community supportThe community has had a mixture of younger people, parents and grandparents who bring a variety of relationships and support for families and the children at the Threshold Centre. In recent times families have left and we currently miss having younger children around us. The Threshold CentreThe constraints of planning has meant that most of the homes at the Threshold Centre are small. To overcome this we have made extra efforts to encourage families to join us here. It has to be accepted that families may well have to move on as they grow. |
